Antique Country Carved Oak Livery Cupboard

This is superbly characterful antique 18th century oak livery cupboard of immense character. The cupboard is a fine example of antique country furniture, it is made in two sections which are heavy and solid. These types of cupboard were originally used to store food and drinks and although fairly large this piece is shallow so could sit well in a hallway, kitchen or dining room. The base unit is low and is fitted with two wide doors finished with blacksmith made handles and deep carvings. The top section is much taller and has an arrangement of four wide drawers set under two further cupboard doors to the top. The whole piece is heavily carved and the wood has a lovely aged patina.
