Antique Cranberry Glass Perfume Scent Bottle Silver Lid c.1900

Offered for your consideration is this attractive antique scent bottle standing approx 10cm in height and maximum diameter of approx. 8cm. This antique perfume bottle is of bulbous form with flattened base so it can stand upright without support. The bottle is made of beautiful cranberry glass and is fitted with a sterling silver pull off lid with machine turned pattern and central circular cartouche to the top which is blank. The lid has a full set of English hallmarks with the assay city mark for London and the lion passant for sterling silver but unfortunately the date letter is too rubbed to read. Nonetheless I estimate this bottle dates circa 1900. This antique scent bottle is offered in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks or fractures to the glass body. The neck of the bottle is undamaged and the internal clear glass inner stopper is also undamaged. The silver lid has one very light ding which is mentioned solely for complete accuracy.
