Internally it has a double sided pipe rack, one rack either side of the cabinet at the top and space in between for a tobacco jar. There is a draw underneath with a decorative gilt finial knop. Under the drawer there is a further space for storage. It has a brass catch at the side, previously had a lock but this was removed, early on in its life. The door has an attractive bevelled glass panel so you can see inside the cabinet. English make, c1850s/60s The perfect piece for storing your finest pipes and favourite blends.
