Antique early 20th century Edwardian wardrobe in oak, a handsome and well-proportioned piece of good quality, showcasing fine traditional craftsmanship. It has a pair of panelled doors, each with four recessed panels, opening to a spacious hanging interior with a full-width hanging rail. Below is a single long drawer with a pair of pierced brass swan-neck handles, giving useful extra storage for linen and folded clothes. The wardrobe is finished with a moulded cornice and stands on a plinth base, with a brass escutcheon to the doors and a panelled construction throughout, including the inside of the doors. The oak displays a beautiful figured grain and a warm, rich colour, with a lovely aged patina. It comes apart into two sections, with the wardrobe lifting off the drawer base, which makes delivery and access easier. Presented in good condition, it is a very desirable wardrobe, perfect for any bedroom.
