Stunning rare Antique Edwardian Solid Sterling Silver boxed set 4 salts cruet set. Renowned maker in Atkin Brothers when at Matilda St, Sheffield. Hallmark HA (for Harry Atkin) in rectangular shield - used from 1854. Clear Sheffield hallmarks (crown and lion) date the salts to 1901 (letter i). Good combined weight for the 4 salts and spoons of 214 grams. Lovely footed design with scrolled handles & repoussé decoration. The workmanship is very detailed, intricate and of superb quality. The gilt linings have protected the silver from salt corrosion - a sign of quality! Retains the original spoons. Width: 3.5 inches (edge of handles) Height: 1.5 inches (top of rims). Will be sent in the original elegant silk-lined Atkin Brothers box.
