An exceptional, fine and impressive, rare antique Edwardian English sterling silver bon bon/miniature cake stand; an addition to our rare silverware collection.
This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Edwardian sterling silver three-tiered miniature cake stand has a circular form.
The incurved, arched frame is embellished with reed decoration and conjoins to the upper portion with a plain ball style finial.
The stand is composed of three circular receivers, each retaining their original hallmarked plates.
The original plates each bear a plain circular well and further reed decoration to the plateaued rim.
This antique silver cake stand is supported by three lobed feet.
By virtue of its size, this versatile stand could be used for a multitude of functions; solid sterling silver miniature examples are becoming increasingly difficult to locate and are highly desirable.
