Each piece in my collection is chosen for its craftsmanship, authenticity, and quiet sense of history. I specialise in antique silver, maritime objects, property of a gentleman and late 19th century as well as early 20th century designs, curating items that tell the story of refined leisure and skilled workmanship.
These are objects made to be used, admired, and handed down—each one a small testament to the artistry and precision of its era.

Description
A charming and highly decorative early 20th-century English oak smoker’s cabinet, dating to circa 1905–1925, displaying influences of the Arts & Crafts and Jacobean Revival periods.
Constructed principally from oak, the cabinet has an attractive warm, dark finish and retains a particularly pleasing oval bevelled glass panel to the front door.
The door is decorated with four applied turned wooden roundels and retains its attractive period metal lock furniture together with the original-style key.
Opening the glazed door reveals a fitted interior originally designed for a gentleman's smoking requisites. At the top are two wooden pipe racks, each pierced for three pipes, providing accommodation for up to six pipes.
Below are two shelves, both ornamented with unusual split-bobbin moulded gallery edges, which would originally have accommodated tobacco jars and other smoking accessories.
A useful lower drawer is fitted with a decorative metal swing handle and would traditionally have been used for matches, pipe cleaners, tobacco implements and other small accessories.
The back of the cabinet retains its period metal wall brackets/hanging fittings, allowing the cabinet to be securely wall mounted.
A CABINET WITH MODERN USES
Although originally manufactured as a smoker's cabinet, today it makes a wonderfully versatile small collector's or display cabinet.
It could readily be repurposed for displaying watches, jewellery, medals, coins, curiosities, miniature bottles, small pieces of silver, military collectables or other treasured objects. The lower drawer provides additional concealed storage.
