Antique English Victorian Rosewood & Needlework Cheval Fire Screen

Here we have an antique English mid Victorian (1850-1870) rosewood and needlework cheval fire screen. The needlework panel depicts a harbour scene with people talking with sailing boats and thatched houses in the background. Decorated to the top of the columns with spires and four further spires are located on this piece, one each side of the cheval feet. A turned stretcher joins the feet with a fretwork panel decoration joining these to the centre. Disclaimer: All pieces are restored and checked over by our expert restorer to ensure quality.
