Description
This very attractive bureau has a flame mahogany fall front with a herringbone inlay and crossbanded border, this opens to reveal a very well fitted pigeon hole interior with shaped drawers, central door and sliding dummy columns. Below which are two beaded drawers with herringbone inlay and brass fretted handles, each drawer having handcut dovetails and being of solid timber construction. The top section is removable from its base with contains and single drawer raised on four legs with carvings to the knee.
This antique bureau is in excellent condition having been French polished using traditional methods whilst retaining a lovely faded colour almost like walnut.
A very attractive bureau which will work in most rooms of the home.
