A fine Antique French Vernis Martin commode (Belle Époque, c.1900) of bombe Louis XV form. The serpentine chest carries its original Breccia marble top above two long drawers, framed by sweeping gilt-bronze (ormolu) rococo mounts. Hand-painted Vernis Martin panels depict pastoral scenes to the front and sides, set within kingwood/tulipwood veneers of rich colour and figure—an eye-catching Parisian statement piece.
