This is an unusual novelty antique sterling silver 'chick' letter opener measuring 4 3/4" (12 cms) long and hallmarked for Chester 1916 with the silversmiths mark for Sampson, Mordan & Co.
It has a super little chick sitting on the top is in excellent condition and perfectly usable today.
It weighs 17 grams / .54 troy oz and there are no inscriptions or monograms.
This lovely chick opener will come in a gift box with a certificate of authenticity
