Description
This is a fine antique Georgian sterling silver teapot made by William Eaton and hallmarked in London 1820. It is in very good condition with no repair or damage. There is a fruitwood handle with thumbpiece and hallmarks are clearly struck to the base and the lid. It stands firmly on a raised circular base. The teapot has attractive fluted decoration to the lower part of the body, lid and rim. Further applied silver acanthus decoration to the attractive spout. The teapot has been made with a good gauge of silver as one would expect from this well respected Georgian silversmith.
