Description
This is a beautiful Antique Sterling Silver Teaspoon from the early 1800s. It would be perfect for using to serve condiments.
It comes in a gift bag and would be a great present.
The spoon is made by Carden Terry and Jane Williams, Silversmiths from Cork, and it was hallmarked in Dublin in 1815.
It’s made of Sterling Silver and has an Old English shaped handle which was very popular in the Georgian era. The handle is long and tapered with the maker’s marks and hallmarks on the back. At the top it has an engraved letter that could be a D or SL.
The silver is shiny with light scratches and it has a very small area of deterioration in the bowl which can be seen if you look closely at the photos.
It weighs 14g and measures 13.2cm in length (just over 5 1/4 inches).
