Description
A beautiful and comfortable Georgian style small wingback chair upholstered in a floral patterned fabric with lovely warm colours, and complimentary yellow fabric to the back and sides. We believe this chair to date from the late 19th century.
My mum and I both fell in love with this chair (and its big brother, also for sale) when we saw it. The fabric is beautiful and almost glows, especially when put against a dark background. Unfortunately we don’t know what the fabric is. The upholstery appears to be fairly recent and is in good condition throughout, with a few small signs of wear on the top of the headrest. The chair has mahogany legs with a cross stretcher and is good and solid with minimal play in the frame. The legs have a few small scuffs and marks here and there. The seat cushion is loose and upholstered both sides so can be turned over - there are no marks on either side.
This is an antique item and as such may have signs of wear in accordance with its age. Anything that we think is of note will have been mentioned above, but please study the photos carefully to satisfy yourself as to its condition as it is not possible to list every little mark or flaw. We are happy to provide high resolution photographs or videos if required, and answer any questions you may have - just get in touch!
