This is an antique ghee serving jug. An Indian, hardwood tribal libation cup or decorative candle nozzle, dating to the mid Victorian period.
Fascinatingly naive treen with exceptional weathering displays a desirable aged patina and in good original order. Hand-carved hardwood with engraved pattern details to the body. Distinctive shaped handle with broad, angled grip.
This is a charming antique ghee serving jug, with a brilliant naive finish and over 150 years of weathering. Delivered polished and ready to enjoy.
