Antique Hat Stretcher / Milliner's Shop Wooden Head Sizer / Wig Display

This handsome Milliner's hat stretcher which has a wooden base and a top section that opens and closes when the removable metal handle is turned. The size of the head circumference is shown on the sizing plate. These hat stretchers now make wonderful display pieces either on their own or for displaying hats and wigs. This one has an attractive dark patina and display well. Date: Late 19th Century / early 20th century. Please note that only the wooden hat stretcher is included.
