Description
This is an antique Imari display plate. A Japanese hand-painted ceramic serving dish, dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1900.
Charming example of Imari taste, graced with appealing colour that displays a desirable aged patina, gently time worn with use. White ground distinctively accentuated with red and blue hues. Endearing flared rim with wavy scalloped edge.
Central flower bouquet with blue petals and red leaves. Issuing a trio of red decorative panels framing blue bands. Light blue fruiting branch motif adorns the reverse, with circular bands to the foot.
This is a fascinating antique Imari display plate, replete with typical colour and pattern. Delivered ready for the home.
