Description
This is a handsome industrial stool which dates to the early 20th century. It would have been used by an engineer or machinist and is a heavy and well made piece which is nicely aged and full of character. The seat is made of a thick piece of oak which is set on a heavy metal tripod base finished with an old red painted finish. The seat is set on a central metal rod and is adjustable, you simply turn the seat to lower or heighten it. The stool is well aged, the wood has a good sheen with a couple of areas of damage to the edge. The stool mechanism works well and raises and lowers easily, there is some slight movement where the metal screw has worn over time, a slight wobble which isn't really too obvious when you are sat on it but should be mentioned.
