Antique Karaja Rug 1.82m x 1.42m

A wonderful antique Karaja rug, woven circa 1910. The design features a classical 3 medallion, geometrical design on a rare deep indigo field surrounded by a pretty terracotta border. Very attractive secondary colours of pinks, golds and greens and a highly decorative rug. Most rugs from this region are terracotta fields - blue ones are much more scarce and highly sought after. Size: 1.82m x 1.42m (6ft x 4ft 8in) This carpet is in good condition with light, age-related wear, slightly heavier towards the centre. Small reweave in corner, barely noticeable (see photos). Fringes and selvedges are secure and it has been professionally cleaned. Free worldwide delivery.
