Description
This is a very nice example of a hand woven Khamseh carpet dating from around 1910. The carpet has a lovely colour palette with mid indigo, warm red, ivory and green; and a design featuring animal and bird motifs around three latch hook medallions. The borders have a pretty calyx and leaf design flanked by skittle guard stripes. The carpet measures 200 cms by 118 cms and is in lovely ready to use condition, the wool being very soft and Lustrous.
