Description

This fine antique Satsuma hat pin dates from the late Meiji period after 1870 and measures a total of 18cm in length with the hat pin head alone measuring 2.5cm in length. The hat pin head is four sided and each side has different depiction of two Geisha ladies. The colours are typical of Satsuma in rust, gold and black with gold and black decoration to the top. This hat pin is offered in good condition with straight steel pin which ends in a sharp point and has only light age related tarnish. Thank you for your interest.
