Antique Miniature Wellington Chest, Apprentice Piece, Collectors Chest, Lockable

This a charming little chest of drawers which dates to the late 19th century. Styled as a Wellington chest this useful and decorative chest has been hand made from stained pine and mahogany and would have once housed a collection of small treasures. It is a nice unusual piece for a desk top, perfect for stowing away small items and collectibles. The chest is classically styled with six small drawers which are finished with turned wooden handles, the top three drawers have small internal partitions. The drawers are kept closed by mahogany columns to either side which close over the drawer fronts, the left hand column locks shut, the key is present. The chest is set on a deep base plinth and the wood has a naturally waxed finish. The chest measures 46cms high x 38cms wide x 24.5cms deep the top drawer internal sections measure 4cms wide x 4cms deep x 3cms high
