This is a lovely novelty sterling silver pepperpot made by Edward Stockwell and hallmarked in London 1879.
It is in the form of a watering can with the lid lowering to insert the pepper. Made with a good gauge of silver and with a glass liner. It is in very good condition and hallmarks are clearly struck and the top has intertwined initials.
A good quality piece of Victorian novelty silver.
