Penderyn Antiques are a family run business residing in an old Welsh chapel in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. We source and restore a wide range of furniture, antiques, interiors and collectables. We have no specific style that we adhere to, (if we like it, we’ll buy it!) but we do have a keen interest in early Welsh country furniture and unusual decorative items. At Penderyn Antiques, we express an indebtedness to those nameless joiners who worked with wood so long ago before plastics and the age of automation. For in building furniture with integrity; so that it will last hundreds of years, they have been our mentors. Their work remains a testament to their commitment to their craft and excellence. Wood is the most used of all our natural resources. We have a duty to recycle, reuse, adapt and preserve it. We must use wood to create furniture that has longevity and combat the ‘throwaway’ society…even though it does grow on trees..”

This is a charming George III antique oak lowboy table. The antique oak lowboy table has a rectangular shaped surface top, with an arrangement of three drawers below, each with brass back plates and drop handles. The antique oak lowboy table has a decorative shaped front apron, raised on four square legs. An attractive colour and patina throughout. Item Ref; M-3771

In good antique condition throughout with some signs of age. There is surface wear in places including age-related marks and scratches to the surface top, also a small chip missing from the join (pictured). There is minor evidence of historic woodworm to the underneath and legs, however this is now long and has been fully treated as a precaution. The antique oak lowboy table remains structurally solid and sound, with the drawers running well. Overall, a rather good example. Our carpenter inspects, repairs, and restores our items, so you can have full confidence that what you buy from us is ready for your home! We ask that you take the time to look at all the photos as they form part of the description and condition report of the item.
