This is an antique oval Looe table. An English, burr walnut and boxwood inlaid 4-seat centrepiece table, dating to the early Victorian period, circa 1840. Exceptional craftsmanship and figuring - a table of fine distinction, displaying a desirable aged patina and in good original order. Burr walnut shows superb grain interest and warm caramel hues. The generous oval top quarter book-matched to dashing effect. Beautifully inlaid with fascinating boxwood and ebonised marquetry. Drum apron set beneath the ebonised, chamfered table edge. Striking table base, with cupped supports surrounding a central finial. Elaborate cabriole legs with scrolled adornments, riding upon ceramic castors. This is a striking antique Looe table, presenting a dashing centrepiece for four. Solid joints and construction, delivered ready for the home.
