Antique Pair of Scottish Burr Walnut Victorian Bedside Lockers by J T Scott

Stunning identical pair of early Victorian Scottish burr walnut bedside lockers nightstands of outstanding quality, mid 19th Century, made by Edinburgh Cabinet Makers J & T Scott 10 George Street. Each moulded top raised above four graduated drawers, complete with their original swan-neck polished brass pull handles ending on a moulded plinth base. The oak lined drawers finished with quadrant interior mouldings, a real sigh of quality Location: Dublin City, Ireland. J & T Scott: Scott's traded from an impressive building at 10, George Street in Scotland’s capital city of Edinburgh. Specialising in cabinet making and exhibitors at the Great Exhibition of 1862 and the International Industrial Exhibition hosted in Edinburgh itself, J & T Scott held contracts with many institutions. Scott's craftsmanship could be found at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, the Scottish National Portrait Gallery and other municipal buildings.
