Antique Pocket Watch Chain Compass Fob 1890s Victorian Porcelain Toilet Fob

Antique Gentleman's highly unusual Victorian pocket watch chain working compass fob in the form of a porcelain toilet. (Please excuse the reflections in the pictures - was very difficult to photograph). Measures; 4cm length (including the side ring), 2.7cm height, 1.3cm width and weighs a respectable 11.2 grams. The working compass is set into the toilet 'lid' (does not open) and has a silver coloured dial with black directional markers and blued steel needle pointer which operates correctly. Original glass (not acrylic). The front of the toilet carries the initials (in black script); P.H., - these have been fired in, not painted over the top of the glaze - I wonder if this was a special commission piece (have never seen one before) and the initials are either the makers or the owners? Original large nickel side ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with no damage and just some very light overall patina (showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
