Antique Pull Toy Horse,

This charming 19th-century toy horse is a wonderfully evocative example of early children’s playthings, crafted with remarkable attention to detail. The body is covered in real horsehair hide and glass eyes, giving it an authentic texture and a lifelike presence typical of Victorian and late 19th-century pull toys. Its form is mounted on a shaped wooden base fitted with four small metal wheels, allowing it to be pulled along. The horse is fitted with its original leather tack, including a bridle, reins, saddle, and a blue and tan felt saddle blanket. The leather shows attractive age and patina, adding to its antique character. The real horsehair mane and tail are beautifully preserved, contributing to the piece’s charm and realism. Standing in a proud, upright pose, this toy reflects both the craftsmanship and the nostalgia of the period.
