Antique Red Chinoiserie Side Table

A very pretty Chinese chinoiserie table in lovely original condition with a really good colour, dating from the early 20th century circa 1920. The oval table has a faux tray top with hand painted Chinese river scene with gilded detail to the boats and buildings. The frieze is decorated with scrolling acanthus and harebells while the bold gilding at the tops of the legs are of stylised flowers. The slender tapering legs have flat pad feet and the table is in good sound condition overall. This has a delightful patina and great depth and warmth to the iron red lacquered finish. This is a useful size for a lamp or side table measuring 73 cms high 63 cms wide by 43 cms deep.
