This is an antique refectory table. An English, quality oak 6 seat dining table, dating to the Victorian period, circa 1880. Superbly figured and comfortably sized centrepiece table for six. Displays a desirable aged patina and in good order. Select oak with an arresting bounty of grain interest throughout. Deep chestnut hues to the top and apron over hints of russet to the legs. Comfortably seat 4 to 6 diners with a kneehole height of 63.5cm (25''). Three-plank top with cleated ends and deftly chamfered corners. Broad square shoulders encase a deep apron to each side with shaped brackets. Raised upon a quartet of thick barrel turned legs with square feet, united by stretcher. This is a strikingly figured antique refectory table, offering high visual appeal and useful proportion. Solid joints and construction, delivered waxed, polished and ready for the home.
