Description
An attractive Regency Revival period bookcase in very smart original condition dating from around 1920.
The elegant bookcase cabinet is constructed in satinwood which has a good colour and nice antique patina and is attractively detailed with hand painted floral garlands to the doors which have circular panels of beautiful contrasting flame veneers. Both pairs of doors have their original working locks and keys and the cabinet is raised on splayed bracket feet. The cabinet has line inlay and contrasting veneer detail throughout giving it a very appealing appearance.
With three adjustable shelves to the bookcase and a central shelf to the cabinet this is a very useful piece with nice proportions, measuring 214 cms high 93 cms wide by 34 cms deep.
