Description
Late Victorian Scottish oval dark and light agate brooch in a silver rope edge mount, the agates are quartered to give a Saltire design, not marked or stamped which is not so unusual for Scottish jewellery of this age. Possibly intended as a light kilt brooch or possibly a plaid brooch, securely mounted on the original slate backing. 1.5 x 1.0 inch and clean but not polished.
