Description
19th Century three legged Sheffield cutlers stool, with the typical ring turned legs and a slab seat made from elm. These charming vernacular stools were made by the individual craftsman for use while he was working. As well as being surprisingly comfortable and sturdy seats, they also work very well as little side tables where you might want to move it about frequently, alongside the bath maybe.

Antique and Unique has clarified that the Antique Sheffield Cutlers Stool (LA558361) is genuinely of the period declared with the date/period of manufacture being 19th Century
condition
There is an old stable split in the top, and one of the legs has had some filler applied where it comes through the top - I think the peg joint has probably been damaged and repaired. Otherwise very good condition and very solid with a lovely colour and patina.
