Description
This is a heavy gauge bowl with blank cartouche and a beautiful band of decorative work including seated putti, acanthus leaves and floral work. It also has an inset 1893 florin to the base, where the hallmarks can also be clearly seen.
Victoria's head (conforming with convention) appears uppermost to the interior, whilst the heraldic ciphers for the countries of the British Isles are 'face out' from the base.
