Antique Silver, Engagement, Proposal or Wedding Ring Box

This beautiful antique ring box is ideal as a gift in which to carry the engagement ring that you will offer to your intended, or the wedding ring that will seal that proposal at the altar, making it difficult for the custodian to lose it in the run up to the ceremony. The interior is furnished with a velvet ring pad and post to the base and shot silk to the inside of the lid and perimeter of the base. This wonderful antique is a very rare item from the expert silversmith Robert Humphries who only assayed in London between 1879 and 1882 (first registered Feb 1879).
