Antique Silver Mounted Leather Wallet from Steinhart & Co

A delightful silver mounted padded leather wallet from Steinhart (& Co) dating to the first quarter of the 20th century. Each corner of the wallet frontispiece is mounted with silver corners bearing both silver import marks and the Steinhart mark used by the UK assay offices. That said there is no UK assay mark, date letter, or Lion Passant. The interior has a steel frame a metal clasp and divisions for stamps, small paper items and coins. Internally it is in very good order, whilst the exterior shows wear commesurate with active use; silver is marked and has small dinks. there is a small scuff to leather adjacent to the hinge, but leather is complete, supple and in robust working condition. Overall a very good wallet, in good condition with many years of active service to come.
