Large footprint pin cushion/hatpin holder from the revered Henry Matthews workshop, hallmarked for 1885 (rubbed) and in good order.
The (weighted) lobed silver base has beautiful up-swept curved sides that give way to a lush velvet pad in a delightful green hue.
An ideal gift for an ardent; seamstress, embroiderer, or hatpin collector this is not only beautiful, but also practical for many roles.
