The graduated chain measures 39cm long including the T-bar and the clasp. Hallmarked on the clasp for 1913, with a maker’s mark for Birmingham silversmith George Gee. Some of the links have the silver lion mark.
The chain comes with a silver fob hallmarked for Sheffield 1918 with a maker’s mark for the Birmingham silversmith James Fenton. The fob has the Boys Brigade anchor and motto to the front, with two Boys Brigade members standing to attention with their rifles. There is an inscription scratched into the reverse of the fob, ‘E Touile, BB, 1923’.
