Description
On offer is this fine antique figural brooch dating circa 1910. This collectable brooch features paste stones in clear, emerald and ruby set in silver.
Butterfly or insect jewellery is highly collectable and was a symbol of good luck to the wearer during the Victorian era.
Paste is a special type of hand cut glass which has been used since the 18th century to replicate gemstones.
This antique brooch measures 2.3 cm in width and 2 cm in height. The brooch has a strong silver pin and secure c-catch and for extra security is fitted with a small chain with safety pin.
