A antique sterling silver Scottish toddy or sauce ladle, assayed and hallmarked in Glasgow in 1829. A well made and substantial item of silver. Maker is WM over AM and is not listed in Jackson, though there is an Alex. Mitchell entered in 1822. Fiddle pattern handle engrave with a hinds head erased over the capital letter "C", possibly connected with Clan Spens.
