Description
This is an antique sugar spoon. An English, sterling silver spoon, dating to the Georgian period, hallmarked for 1780.
Fascinating George III period spoon. Displays a desirable aged patina with some light dings, commensurate with age. Sterling silver presents a bright reflective sheen and signs of gentle polishing. Decorated with leaf motif details upon the tapering handle. Hallmarks for Thomas Ivory, with the lion passant, Birmingham assay mark and 1780 date letter E
