Description
This is an attractive antique Tekke Turkman runner dating from around 1920. The handwoven carpet has typical Tekke design with 2 rows of 11 guls, but unusually, the ground colour is more coral/orange than most Tekkes which typically have a darker, more red ground.
The carpet has a low even pile and complete selvedges and ends with beautiful long fringes.
The carpet is quite a good size for a Tekke, measuring 216 cms by 120 cms, and looks great Down.
