This is an antique tilt top table. An English, mahogany side or lamp table on birdcage mount, dating to the mid Georgian period, circa 1760.
Fascinating table with a fully articulated top displaying a desirable aged patina and in good order. Select stocks present fine grain interest throughout. Warm caramel hues beneath a quality wax polish finish.
Circular top rotates through 360 degrees upon a birdcage mount. Tilting mechanism held securely with a circular brass clasp. Raised upon a stout baluster column with turned collars. Standing upon a trio of broad cabriole legs, terminating in pad feet.
