This is an antique upholstered footstool. An English, pitch pine fireside or lounge stool, dating to the Edwardian period, circa 1905.
Charming footstool with a low profile and embroidered cushion that displays a desirable aged patina, gently time-worn with careful use. Pitch pine stocks present fine grain interest and warm caramel hues. Original cushion in red cotton with a needlepoint foliate pattern. It stands upon a quartet of shaped bracket feet with shaped aprons
