Antique Vesta Case 1890s Victorian The Beacon Chunky Silver Chrome Case

Victorian Gentleman's Antique bright silver chrome chunky Vesta case with crisp heavy ribbed decoration. C ~1890's. Please excuse the reflections in the pictures - was extremely difficult to photograph). Measures; 5.7cm height (including the tip ring), 3.5 width, 1.3cm depth and weighs a heavy 25.2 grams. Wonderful puffy Vesta case (with slightly concave back) which is beautifully adorned to both sides with an attractive heavy ribbed design - the detail of which is as bright and crisp today as the day it was made. The internal lip is stamped to one side with the model name (slightly rubbed); THE BEACON. The lid opens correctly, closing with a very reassuring click and the hinge is true and firm with absolutely no play. Large un-worn ribbed striker to base. Original robust big top ring to attach to a Gentleman's pocket watch chain. Excellent clean and bright condition with absolutely no wear or indentations, just a few overall superficial little surface scratches and micro bit of patina (all showing under eyeglass only) commensurate with age.
