Antique 19th century Victorian bookcase in golden oak, an impressive and beautifully arranged piece offering an excellent combination of storage and display space. Standing on a solid plinth base, two cupboard doors to the lower section open to reveal a single internal shelf, with two smaller drawers positioned above and finished with decorative brass handles. Two glazed cabinet doors form the upper section, enclosing three adjustable shelves that can be arranged to accommodate books, ceramics, glassware or treasured collections. Dentil cornices along the top edge provide an attractive architectural detail and complete the bookcase with a classic Victorian finish. Gorgeous natural grain and a rich golden colour give the oak plenty of warmth and character throughout. Presented in good condition, well made and of good quality, this desirable bookcase has a substantial presence while remaining elegant and practical.
