Antique Victorian Long Guard Chain Necklace 18ct Gold c.1880

This stunning Antique Victorian guard chain has been modelled in shinning 18ct Yellow Gold and features fancy textured cable links. The chain is complete with a claw clasp at the end which may have been used to attach a pocket watch or a cylinder of fur known as a muff to keep the wearer’s hands warm in winter. A beautiful chain with a pleasing weight which can be wrapped once or twice around the neck.
