An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English cast sterling silver nutmeg grater; an addition to our Victorian silverware collection.
This exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian cast sterling silver nutmeg grater has been realistically modelled in the form of a clam shell.
The cover and body of this antique silver nutmeg grater are embellished with details reproducing the shell's natural exterior.
The hinged hallmarked anterior cover of the Victorian silver nutmeg grater opens to reveal the steel grating grille/rasp, fitted to a hallmarked sterling silver rim.

This antique silver nutmeg grater is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition.
The cast decoration is all very crisp; the piece has seen little to no use.
Full hallmarks to the rim of the body and sleeve of the cover all very clear.
Reflections in photographs may detract from this fine example of Victorian silverware.
