An exceptional, fine and impressive set of four antique Victorian sterling silver Queens pattern gravy spoons; an addition to our silver flatware collection. This exceptional set of antique sterling silver spoons has been crafted in the desirable Queen's pattern. The anterior and posterior surfaces of each handle is embellished with the classic Queen's pattern ornamentation, includes a convex shell design to either side of the terminal, in addition to the honeysuckle and rosette design*. The anterior surface of the handle terminals are ornamented with the contemporary bright cut engraved crests of a hawk with wings extended. Each Victorian gravy spoon has an impressive anthemion/honeysuckle heel to the reverse of the bowl. This exceptional set of gravy spoons, crafted by the renowned female silversmith Mary Chawner, is the finest of its type you could hope to acquire. These silver gravy spoons offer a refined gift for weddings, anniversaries or housewarmings. Ideal for antique flatware collectors or those enhancing a formal silver service, they combine practical utility with timeless sophistication. * This pattern is most commonly acknowledged/referred to as Queen's pattern, however in the Chawner & Co. Full hallmarks struck to the reverse of each handle are all very clear; the hallmarks are struck deeply due to the exceptional gauge of silver.
