An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Victorian English sterling silver table bell; an addition to our range of ornamental silverware This exceptional antique Victorian sterling silver hand bell has a plain bell-shaped form. The surface of this silver table bell is embellished with impressive bright cut engraved floral and foliate decoration. The decoration to the surface of the bell incorporates a vacant cartouche to one side, in addition tooled decorated border to the upper and lower portions. The table bell is fitted with a panelled, knopped baluster shaped cast sterling silver handle. This impressive Victorian table bell is fitted with the original hallmarked, compressed clapper. This antique table/hand bell was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths John & Henry Lias. Such decorated examples are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.
